Electronics and Mattress Recycling Event 10/12

The Town of Cheshire hosts a free Electronics and Mattress Recycling Collection on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 1304 Waterbury Road (the old transfer station).

The October event will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024.  To accommodate residents who cannot attend this regularly scheduled collection date due to the observance of Yom Kippur, there will also be a second October collection event on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Grass clipping and leaves as well as brush and branches will also be accepted on these October dates.

Residents must empty grass clippings and leaves into the provided container.  Leaves may be in biodegradable bags.  The container is also accessible from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Monday morning.

Brush and branches must be 6” or less in diameter and 4’ or less in length.  Logs and stumps are not accepted.  No contractors or landscapers are allowed. 

These collection events are open to Cheshire residents only, proof of residency may be required.
